Sunday Hike at Chassahowitzka

After the rain, our hike ended up being extremely interesting…

There had been a controlled burn not to long ago and you can see the benefits of that control burn. Fresh grass sprouting as well as new growth…

Beautiful new growth after a controlled burn at Chassahowitzka Wildlife Management Area

However there are a few not so good things… with the overgrowth it maybe difficult to locate nesting places.

Unfortunately, a couple of eggs were burned during the controlled burn at Chassahowitzka Wildlife Management Area in Brooksville, FL

Yet again.. after that controlled burn showed us how much trash people had left behind.. I still don’t understand this..

Loads of cans and bottles are now visible after the controlled burn.

After we spent some time picking up all this trash, two hours of it, we finally got to our hike.

Some photos that I took that I have no information on what they are…. any information you can share would be fantastic!
